Chris Hall will return to the Japan Society to present and demonstrate Japanese carpentry. Trained in Japan, he will explore how lessons and ideas from Japanese traditional building practice might transfer effectively to a North American context. This is a timeless way of building, based upon pattern and reverence for the materials used to insure long-term durability. Preregistration is requested.
