Nature Play Date: Let's G.O.! (Get Outside)

FREE EVENT: Drop in anytime to enjoy our new nature play area! Dig in the dirt, make a dam in the stream, or build a shelter. Unstructured outdoor play is a fun way to develop creativity and a deep connection to nature. While your children play in the Nature Nook, you can play alongside them or just relax in the seating area. A Teacher Naturalist will provide digging tools, art activities, and musical instruments. We will also offer classes (fee required) about gardening for children and adults, as well as a program about the Asian Longhorned Beetle, a potential threat to local trees. This event is part of a nationwide, youth-led Children & Nature Network initiative to rally people of all ages to be active, have fun, and connect with nature.
