The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and the Emerald Necklace Conservancy announce that the meeting they were co-hosting Noveber 8 has been postponed until January, 2011. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss construction at the intersection of the Jamaicaway and Eliot Street. The exact date for the January meeting will be announced as soon as possible.
DCR and the Emerald Necklace Conservancy have been hosting a public process togather community input for enhancing pedestrian and bicyclist access to Jamaica Pond. This process identified preferred alternatives for crossings at three locations: the Jamaicaway at Eliot Street, Parkman Drive at Kelley Circle, and Parkman Drive at the Parkman Memorial.
