Shaker Boxmaking at Eliot School

 

The Eliot School is offering a one-day workshop for participants  to learn how to make a traditional Shaker box. The design is both elegant and useful with its pegged bottom and no use of glue.The instructor, Jac Van Loon has 30 years of woodworking experience and teaches in the Wentworth School of Interior Design. Participants must be at least 17 years old. No woodworking experience is necessary.  

Other courses that will be starting in November are Intermediate Knitting, Painting Basics, Figure Drawing and a one-day workshop on how to make simple books.
