Solar Saturday

For those who are curious about solar power and how it works, Boston Building Resources in Roxbury Crossing will offer a behind-the-scenes look at its solar electricity system on “Solar Saturday,” October 1. Tours of the system, led by a solar installation designer, will be offered every hour starting at 10:00, with the last tour beginning at 1:00. Each tour will include time for questions and answers. Tours are free and preregistration is not needed.

Solar Saturday is part of the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association’s annual Green Buildings Open House and the American Solar Energy Society’s (ASES) National Solar Tour, and helps to kick off National Energy Awareness Month. Boston Building Resources is located at 100 Terrace Street, Roxbury Crossing, 02120, close to Roxbury Community College, the Roxbury Crossing MBTA station on the Orange Line, and the Southwest Corridor bike path.

To get a list of all Green Buildings Open House locations in our area, go to http://www.nesea.org/openhouse/listings/ and search the database.
