The event is presented by Boston Children’s Hospital Collaborative Center for Community Research (C-CORE), an organization that brings community members and academic researchers together to conduct community-based participatory research (CBPR) that targets health disparities among Boston youth, families, and communities.

 C-CORE was established in 2010 as collaboration among Boston Children's Hospital, the Boston Public Health Commission, Boston Public Schools, the Boston Conference of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, and a diverse Community-Academic Advisory Board.
