UPDATED: Evacuations Near Gas Leak in Jamaica Plain
A gas leak at an Amory Street building has elicited a response from emergency crews.

BOSTON, MA - A gas main break at 192 Amory St. had emergency crews on the scene Friday afternoon, according to reports.
At least 10 people were evacuated from the neighboring buildings, according to Universal Hub.
Firefighters were packing up to leave and Armory Street had been reopened as of about 3:45 p.m., Universal Hub reported.

Residents who had been evacuated from the surrounding homes were allowed back inside as of about 4:30 p.m., according to the Boston Fire Department.
The leak happened when contractors hit a gas main inside of a house that was undergoing renovations, the Boston Fire Department reported.
