Extra Officers on Duty This Week at Academy After Stabbing

The officers will be on duty for the remainder of this week.

Extra police officers are on duty due to Friday’s stabbing at the Margarita Muñiz Academy, Jamaica Plain News reported.

Boston Police confirmed Friday that a student was stabbed outside what used to be the Agassiz School on Child Street. The victim, a 17-year-old according to the Boston Globe, was taken to Brigham & Women’s Hospital for treatment after the incident, which took place about 12:40 p.m. The person’s injuries are not life-threatening.

The officers will be on duty for the remainder of this week.
