BOSTON, MA — A Jamaica Plain man driving on the rims of his van's tires was arrested on Soldier's Field Road and charged with his third OUI. A state trooper spotted the white van driving westbound around 2:45 a.m. Monday and alerted area patrols. Another trooper stopped the van while working a road closure, and other troopers found two tires on the road as they were driving to provide backup. The white van was missing two tires, police said.Paul DeRosa, 44, was arrested and charged on OUI liquor (third offense); Negligent operation of a motor vehicle; Unsafe operation of a motor vehicle; and operating a motor vehicle without an ignition lock.
