SALSA AND MERENGUE (Mondays, Sept. 26 - Nov. 21, 8-9pm. No class Columbus Day)
No experience or partner needed, but if you know some salsa you'll learn plenty of new moves.
You'll love learning the hottest dances worldwide: salsa is a beautiful, sexy and elegant dance, and merengue is easy, upbeat, and is danced to so many kinds of music. (We will focus mostly on salsa.) If you don't
already know and love salsa music, you will! There's nothing more exhilarating than learning enough well-executed salsa and merengue moves to dance with confidence at any party, social event or salsa club.
If you've never tried salsa, this is a great class for you, and you'll fall in love with the dance. And if you've danced a little salsa, you'll learn the mambo style (forward-back) basic step, cross-body leads, spins and more. (This class will not repeat most material from our last two terms.)
HOT LATIN BALLROM: CHA CHA and RHUMBA (Mondays, Sept. 26 - Nov. 21, 7-8pm. No class Columbus Day)

You'll be amazed at how many popular tunes played at social events, clubs, parties and weddings are Latin Ballroom. Many of the specific moves in Cha Cha are shared with Rhumba, many moves translates easily into the next dance you learn, helping you learn more quickly and easily. Cha Cha and Rhumba are also danced to contemporary non-Latin pop music as well, so you'll get to show off your dancing frequently at lots of events! These are super useful dances to know. Absolutely no dance experience or partner necessary. Our classes are legendary for being friendly and attitude-free.
If you need to miss any classes, you are entitled to one free drop-in class at any of our classes at your level, this term or next. And no worries, we'll review every week in class!
