How Did Jamaica Plain Vote in the Republican Primary?
Candidates received a total of 557 votes, with former Gov. Mitt Romney taking 54 percent of the vote. That's lower than statewide, where he garnered 72 percent.

Jamaica Plain residents cast 557 votes in Tuesday's GOP presidential primary. More than half of them were for former Gov. Mitt Romney.
Independent voters were allowed to vote Republican, so the votes aren't all necessarily registered Republicans.
JP's choices differed from the state-wide ones, as can be seen by this chart. Statewide figures are from the Associated Press. JP voted more heavily for Ron Paul and less heavily for Rick Santorum.
