The campaign office of At-Large Boston City Council Candidate Jack Kelly is pleased to announce that Mr. Kelly has accepted the endorsement of the Planned Parenthood Advocacy Fund in his race for a seat on the Boston City Council.
In the endorsement of Kelly, PPAF President, Martha “Marty” Walz said, “[Mr.] Kelly will be a strong addition to the City Council and an ally we can count on to make health care a priority.” Planned Parenthood further encouraged all Boston voters to go out and vote for Jack Kelly at the polls on September 24, 2013.
In their endorsement, PPAF noted Kelly’s work in public health stating, “As a community health worker at Massachusetts General Hospital, [Mr.] Kelly has worked directly on sexual health care issues, including HIV and sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention and treatment. With on-the-ground experience in some of Boston’s most vulnerable neighborhoods, [Mr.] Kelly has seen up close the intersections between health, crime, education, and neighborhood vitality and knows that improving the health of our communities requires smart public policy.”To learn more about Jack's candidacy, visit JackKellyforBoston.com
