Boston magazine’s annual “Best of Boston” issue hit newsstands this week, marking the 42nd anniversary of the awards.
Over the course of this past year, a team of judges ate, drank and shopped their way all over the city in an effort to seek out the premiere businesses scattered throughout the many neighborhoods in the area.
The magazine presented several businesses in Jamaica Plain with awards in the “Neighborhood Best,” “Dining” and “A&E” categories.

- Dining/Brunch: Tres Gatos
- Dining/Ethiopian: The Blue Nile
- Dining/Bread: Blue Frog Bakery
- Dining/Pastry: Canto 6 Bakery
- Dining/Romantic: Centre Street Café
- Neighborhood Best/Eat: Thursdays on the Lawn, Loring-Greenough House
- Neighborhood Best/Drink: Canary Square
- Neighborhood Best/Shop: Kitchenwitch
- Neighborhood Best/Discover: Boating on Jamaica Pond
- A&E/Record Store: Deep Thoughts JP
Awards were handed out in categories including dining, shopping, service, arts & entertainment, nightlife and more.
