In the calm following the storm, chainsaws and wood chippers noisily buzzed from the Pond to Parkside as workers cleared the many felled trees, and residents swept away debris. On Pond Street, police stood guard at the M.M. Collins Apartments where a tree struck the building's roof. "We were lucky," said resident Carmen Mejia. "At least no one was hurt."
