Jamaica Plain to Host Second Annual Porchfest Music Festival

Any array of musical tunes will soon be heard ringing out on porches across Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood.

The second annual Jamaica Plain Porchfest will take place on July 11 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Bands of all genres are set to participate in the event. Circus arts, dance, storytelling and theater performances will be available for those in attendance.

In 2014, Porchfest’s inaugural year, 65 bands and solo artist performed on porches all around the neighborhood in front of an audience of 7,000 people.

Band and porch registration is now closed. An announcement regarding the 2015 lineup will be made soon. Many are encouraged to participate in the event as Porchfest looks to continue its growth in the community.
