Jamaica Plain Valedictorians: Chantelle Jones, Kassandra Rivera-DeJesus and Gena White
Chantelle Jones, Kassandra Rivera-DeJesus and Gena White were all honored by the mayor and superintendent with a luncheon Tuesday.
Jamaica Plain boasts three of the city's Public School valedictorians this year.
The three took part in the annual Valedictorians Luncheon Tuesday with the mayor, superintendent and the other 31 honorees from around the district. The students' families were also invited at the celebration, which was held at the Boston Harbor Hotel.
The valedictorians from JP are as follows, along with the college they plan to attend:

- Chantelle Jones: Edward M. Kennedy Academy for Health Careers (Boston College)
- Kassandra Rivera-DeJesus: McKinley South End Academy (Bunker Hill Community College)
- Gena White: New Mission High School (Smith College)
The valedictorian for in Jamaica Plain is Laura Ochoa of East Boston. She plans to attend Suffolk University.
