- Accomplishment: Joshua, a Jamaica Plain resident, was named the winner of the 2011 Brother C.P. Ryan Award, given to one seventh grade student who best exemplifies Catholic Memorial's mission of service to community. He received the award at the school’s Middle School Program Showcase Night on June 1.
- Key to Awesomeness: Head teacher Don Cormier praised all the award recipients at the evening’s ceremony, making special note of the interdisciplinary capstone projects that the award winners completed during the course of the year. "All of these projects have given our students a unique opportunity to research and fully appreciate the greatness of Boston and its
importance in the history of the United States," said Cormier. "Their
creativity and dedication has truly been impressive."
