JAMAICA PLAIN, MA — After about two years of investigating, Boston police arrested a man in connection with the murder of a patient at Arbour Hospital on Robinwood Avenue in JP and he's scheduled to be arraigned in court Monday.
Two years ago, on July 2, 2015, hospital workers at the JP psychiatric hospital found a Dorchester man, Hameen Edwards kneeling over John Duggie, 50, of Framingham, who looked like he'd just suffered a serious blow to his head. Edwards had a fractured hand, according to police and the DA's office.
Edwards and Duggie were both patients at the Arbour Hospital in Jamaica Plain at the time.

At about 2 p.m. on Friday, August 4, members of the Boston Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit arrested 41-year-old Hameen R. Edwards of Dorchester on an active straight warrant for the Murder of Duggie.
"This shows that my detectives never forget a single victim. Whether it takes two days or two years, they work extremely hard every day to bring justice for the victims and their families," said Police Commissioner William Evans in a statement.
If convicted, Edwards could be sentenced to life in prison.
