JP's First Thursday Event to Feature BLock Parties, Music and More
This month's event will feature more than 60 artists and 52 participating businesses.

The August “First Thursday Art Walk,” hosted by JP Centre/South Main Streets, is set to be the organization’s biggest of the year.
“This month’s Art walk is the pinnacle of the season, and far surpasses any First Thursday JPCS has ever seen,” JP Centre/South Main Streets Executive Director Andrew Zarrow said in an email this week.
The event on Thursday will include a South Street Block Party, Curtis Hall Block Party, more than 60 artists, 52 business locations, food carts, 12 music locations, dancers, clowns, henna tattoos, the Loring-Greenough Farmers Market, the Screen on the Green showing, beer and wine tastings and local discounts.
