Large Boa Constrictor Found Slithering Through Olmsted Park
The snake was four feet long and said to be about 20 pounds.

A man walking through Olmsted Park discovered a large snake lurking in the woods during an afternoon stroll last week.
On Tuesday, the man immediately phoned police after stumbling upon the serpent. Upon arriving at the scene, officer David Cheung discovered the four-foot-long boa constrictor in the area of Pond Avenue, the Brookline Tab reports.
Cheung was able to impressively use a long tool to dispose of the snake in a pillowcase. He described the snake as being at least “20 pounds.”

It’s not known how the snake made its way into the park, but boa constrictors are legal to house as pets in Massachusetts.
