
Papercuts, JP is a bookstore that opened in Jamaica Plain on Small Business Saturday, which was Nov. 29.
Located at 5 Green St., Papercuts, JP is owned by Kate Layte. Layte has lived in the neighborhood for nearly five years.
The Boston Herald reported that the 28-year-old is a former Little, Brown and Co. associate production editor. Her store is hand-selected, including books such as “Bark” by Lorrie Moore and “I’m a Flame You Can’t Put Out,” a selection of poems in English and Spanish by fifth-graders at the Rafael Hernandez School in Roxbury.

Papercuts, JP is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. The business is open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. The store phone number is (617) 522-3404.
