Police Charge Teen for Gun Found in Bedroom

He was arrested on an outstanding warrant and a conducted bedroom search led to the firearm being found.

A teen is facing charges of unsafe storage of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition after Boston Police officers allegedly found a loaded .22-caliber handgun in his Bromley-Heath public housing development bedroom, according to the Boston Police Department.

The Jamaica Plain Gazette reported that officers visited the teen’s home at Horan Way on Jan. 30 after state Department of Youth Services reported he had been seen in the apartment with a firearm.
