Police: Homeless Man Drowns in Boston After Falling Into River
The man fell into the Muddy River near Charlesgate Park and did not resurface.

A 55-year-old man fell into Boston’s Muddy River and drowned Tuesday night, according to the Massachusetts State Police.
Officers responded to the Charlesgate Park area after learning reports of a man that had fallen into the water, officials say.
An underwater recovery team was called to the scene because the man did not resurface. The Boston Fire Department and the Boston Police Department assisted at the scene.

Firefighters located the man’s body at the bottom of the river after probing the shallow waters. Officials say the man was homeless, based on an initial investigation.
