While there they observed a male, later identified as Robert Glavin, 32, of Jamaica Plain fare evade by "piggybacking" in behind a paying customer. Officers approached Glavin for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered there were several warrants in existence for Glavin's arrest issued from South Boston District Court for possession to distribute a controlled substance, receiving stolen property over $2,500 and Brighton District Court for shoplifting, resisting arrest and carrying a dangerous weapon. Glavin was placed into custody and transported to MBTA Transit Police headquarters for the arrest-booking process. He was also issued a citation for fare evasion. The events listed above are allegations; All defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
