Police: Jamaica Plain Man, Wanted on Several Charges, Attempts to Evade Subway Fare
Police discovered the suspect had various warrants after issuing him a citation for evading fare.

On Wednesday, Jan. 21, at approximately 5:20 p.m., MBTA Transit Police officers working in Area 3 were conducting point of entry policing at the MBTA’s Andrew Square station.

While there they observed a male, later identified as Robert Glavin, 32, of Jamaica Plain fare evade by “piggybacking” in behind a paying customer.
Officers approached Glavin for the purpose of issuing a citation and subsequently discovered there were several warrants in existence for Glavin’s arrest issued from South Boston District Court for possession to distribute a controlled substance, receiving stolen property over $2,500 and Brighton District Court for shoplifting, resisting arrest and carrying a dangerous weapon.

Glavin was placed into custody and transported to MBTA Transit Police headquarters for the arrest-booking process. He was also issued a citation for fare evasion.
The events listed above are allegations; All defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
