UPDATE: Police Identify Woman Shot Dead on Seaver Street

Detectives in Boston are actively searching for a gunman who fatally shot a woman on Seaver Street near Franklin Park late Tuesday night.

Police officers responded to Seaver Street around 10:30 p.m. after learning a woman, about 30 years old, had been shot death.

According to officials, 31-year-old Grisel Sanchez suffered gunshot wounds to the chest. Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bullets penetrated the home of one resident, shattering pictures hanging on her wall, FOX25 reports.

Police have not released the identity of the victim. It’s not known if she was targeted.

No suspects have been identified.
