Rajon Rondo is Getting Traded

The deal is nearly finalized.

The Boston Celtics are in the process of finalizing a deal to send Rajon Rondo to the Dallas Mavericks.

ESPN.com reported that the Celtics and the Mavericks have an agreement in principle to send the point guard to Dallas.

Boston in return would receive Brandan Wright, Jae Crowder, Jameer Nelson, a 2015 first-round draft pick and a 2016 second-round pick.

Rondo, who is in the final year of his contract, leads the NBA in assists per game for the third time in four years.

The finalized trade would give the Dallas Mavericks a starting lineup of Rondo, Monta Ellis, Chandler Parsons, Dirk Nowitzki and Tyson Chandler, according to USA Today.
