Report: Suffolk Construction CEO Recuses Company from Boston 2024 Construction
Boston won the USOC bid to host the 2024 Olympic Games Thursday.

The U.S. Olympic Committee announced Thursday that Boston will represent the United States in its bid to host the 2024 Olympic Games, but if the city is selected then a significant amount of construction will be required.
The Boston Globe reported on Friday that Boston 2024 chairman and Suffolk Construction CEO John Fish is recusing himself and the company from any Olympic-related construction projects. The construction will not be done by the company led by the head of the group organizing the Boston proposal.
Fish said the group would be “very, very careful about cost and expenditures,” when discussing Boston’s Olympic bid during a Friday press conference.
