Runner Reports Indecent Assault Near Jamaica Pond

Police are looking for the suspect.

Boston police say a woman running near Jamaica Pond reported being indecently assaulted by a man riding a bicycle Monday morning.

CBS Boston reported that the victim said she was running near the Jamaica Pond boathouse around 9:30 a.m. when the bicyclist approached her from behind and “slapped her in the buttock region,” according to police.

Police said the woman screamed and then the man fled.

According to WCVB, the woman described the man as black or Hispanic in his early-20s. He was around 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a white ball cap with red trim that may have been a Chicago Bulls logo. He was also wearing a dark sweatshirt, dark pants and white sneakers.
