Sparking: Enhance Your Relationship Through Rituals Like Day of the Dead

I find the air exciting this time of year…okay, maybe it’s the frenzy of squirrels scattering acorns and the leaves blowing that gives me this sense that things are changing and we can’t hold on to too much for too long.

A large part of sparking your life and enriching your love relationship is to share rituals that you either create yourselves or participate and acknowledge as being part of a community. These rituals will mark time, become part of your collective history and give you a sense of belonging. Rituals are important to help ground you when the world is turning and life is ever changing. Sharing rituals and creating a sense of community will help fuel your spark.

“Day of the Dead” (a Mexican holiday to remember loved ones that have died, which includes All Saints and All Soul’s day with altars for those in your life that have passed on to the other realm) honors death, by celebrating life.

I’m sorry to say that Forest Hills Cemetery is not having their annual “”  (boohoo, for lack of funding), but there is an event planned at that will honor “Dia de los Muertos.” The observance includes dancing with a live Mariachi band, Mexican food and other festivities It's $10 in advance or $15 at the door to honor the dead and raise your spirits and spark your loving souls.
