Target Gives New Library to the Hennigan
The retailer paid for renovations to the Heath Street school's library, which now includes 2,000 books. The company also underwrote installation of a school-based food pantry.
The Hennigan School has a new library, filled with 2,000 books, thanks to a donation by Target.
The retailer chose the Hennigan as one of 42 schools nationwide it is helping renovate. In addition to the library, the company underwrote a school-based food pantry.
Families who came for the ribbon-cutting ceremony last Wednesday also received food donations, including bags of frozen chicken, as one Hennigan parent reported on his blog.
