Teen Shot, Killed In Jamaica Plain: Police

A fight between two groups may have culminated in the fatal shooting, Commissioner William Evans told reporters.

JAMAICA PLAIN, MA – A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed overnight in Jamaica Plain, police said. Officers responded to the shooting on the 900 block of Parker Street around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday and found the teen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was given CPR and taken to the hospital, where he later died.

Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said the shooting may have followed a fight between two groups, according to NBC Boston. Evans cited multiple shell casings and said the scene looked "clearly like an altercation."

So far no arrests have been made.

Wednesday evening there was heavy police activity near the Stop & Shop, but it's unclear if it was related.
