When Does Boston's World Naked Bike Ride Start? We Got You Covered

The World Naked Bike Ride starts tonight in Jamaica Plain. And it's going to end in Cambridge.

JAMAICA PLAIN, MA — Tonight there will be a lot of sweaty naked people riding around Boston with police escort. The group, World Naked Bike Riders of Boston announced the time and place for their annual ride around the city.

So far about 150 people have said they're planning to attend, and another 275 said they are interested in attending, according to the Facebook invite.

They are meeting at JP's Spontaneous Celebrations on Daniforth Street at 6 p.m. for a little party.

The ride will get started at 8 p.m. and the organizers said it was going to be about 10 miles at a "social" pace. It's slated to end in Cambridge a few hours later, so this is a full on event, lest you think it's a quick streak. And it ends with a after party at Flat Top Johnny's in Kendall Square, which they note is public.

Oh, and the World Naked Bike Riders encourage you to come with your clothes and that you leave with your clothes.

The whole rolling, naked protest is a way to bring attention to a list of things including, safe streets, body positivity, and dependence on oil.

"We face automobile traffic with our naked bodies as the best way of defending our dignity and exposing the unique dangers faced by cyclists and pedestrians plus all the negative effects of oil, cars, war, consumerism and non-renewable energy," reads the World Naked Bike Ride International website.
