Will Brandy Become A Shelter Dog For Life? The JP MSPCA Hopes Not

A 4-year old Pit Bull Terrier in JP needs a forever home.

JAMAICA PLAIN, MA — Little Orphan Brandy has been hanging out at the MSPCA in for a long time. And now, some 10 days before that stay marks a year, the staff at the shelter are hoping someone will adopt a 4-year-old pit bull before that year is up.

Brandy has been at the MSPCA Boston Adoption Center for 355 days as of Thursday, and the folks at the shelter hope she won’t get to November 10 before finding a forever home, they posted to Instagram.

The folks at the MSPCA describe Brandy as a “calm, sweet girl” who loves getting attention from people and cuddling. The staff say she hangs out with them in the office and would be a great pet for someone who works from home.

The shelter staff say Brandy should be in a pet-and kid-free home as she's still learning how to interact with other animals and how to share. She will also need to go to obedience classes after being adopted so she can learn how to interact with other dogs, but that class fee is part of the cost of her adoption according to her PetFinder profile (which also has an adorable video of her playing catch).

Know someone interested in adopting Brandy? Have them email adoption@mspca.org or drop by the adoption center at 350 South Huntington Ave.
