• West Nile detected in Middleboro mosquito population (theweektoday.com) — Lakeville residents are currently rated at moderate risk for West Nile virus and low risk for EEE, after infected mosquitoes were found in nearby Middleboro. State health officials urge residents to use repellent, wear long sleeves at peak mosquito times, drain standing water, and check window and door screens, especially near woods and wetlands.
