Merrimack Repertory Theatre and Middlesex Community Collegeβ¦ (broadwayworld.com) β Families in Greater Lowell now have a new year-round option for kids interested in theatre: Merrimack Repertory Theatre and Middlesex Community College are launching the M2 Performing Arts Academy. The program will offer classes, camps, and performance opportunities that build acting skills while also strengthening confidence, collaboration, and academic and social abilities for local youth.

2. 'You made it!': 23 Lowell High students graduate in summer ceremony (lowellsun.com) β Twenty-three students just completed their diplomas through Lowell High School's summer graduation, officially rounding out the Class of 2026. In a heartfelt ceremony featuring Mayor Erik Gitschier, speakers praised students' persistence through setbacks and highlighted how Lowell will always be their hometown, encouraging graduates to keep learning, lead with integrity, and bring future successes back to the city.

New England Regional Nuclear Policy Summit being held in Massachusetts on Sept. 30 (dailyenergyinsider.com) β Lowell will host New England's first Regional Nuclear Policy Summit on Sept. 30 at UMass Lowell's Rist Institute, with limited in-person seats and a virtual option. Governors and energy officials from across the region will explore how advanced nuclear and fusion technologies could affect energy costs, grid reliability, safety, and future jobs, giving local residents a front-row seat to a major clean-energy discussion.

From Pasta to Supercars, Manning Students Explore Business in Italy (uml.edu) β A UMass Lowell Manning School student from Lowell joined six classmates for a three-week study abroad program in Italy, touring factories like Barilla, Lamborghini, and Ducati. The experience helped them connect financial data to real-world operations and see how technology, automation, and everyday retail experiences abroad differ from what they know at home.
