The free, 80-hour state program builds specialized skills that could prove critical during local disasters or serious accidents back home.
3. NGA Brings New England Governors' Teams Together for Regional Nuclear Policy Summit (nga.org) — UMass Lowell's Rist Institute just hosted New England energy officials and experts for a regional summit on the future of nuclear power, putting Lowell at the center of big decisions about the grid.
