1. Volleyball Preview: Lynn English Looks for a Road Win Against Malden (maxpreps.com) β Lynn English's volleyball team heads to Malden on Monday at 5:30 p.m., looking to snap a 10-game road losing streak. After a straight-sets loss to Salem, the Bulldogs sit at 2-5 and hope to rebound against a Malden squad that has also struggled recently, dropping three of its last four matches.

2. Flight cancelations, delays continue after powerful nor'easter (wcvb.com) β Lynn residents relying on the MBTA ferry should know all Lynn and Quincy trips are canceled Monday because of rough seas from a powerful nor'easter. The storm has also disrupted flights at Logan, Amtrak service, and other ferries, so travelers are urged to double-check schedules as delays and cancellations continue.

3. Massachusetts says Lynnway lane cuts add 1 minute, but won't release the traffic data (thecooldown.com) β State transportation officials say cutting Lynnway car lanes for bus and bike upgrades would add only about a minute to most rush-hour trips, but they have not released the underlying traffic data. Lynn leaders, nearby towns, businesses, and residents are split, with some calling it a generational chance to reconnect downtown and the waterfront and others demanding safeguards if congestion worsens.

4. Massachusetts approves $96 million car-free Mystic River bridge (thecooldown.com) β A new $96 million car-free bridge over the Mystic River will better link Everett and Somerville trail networks, ultimately tying into the Northern Strand path that runs into Lynn and Nahant Beach. Former Lynn mayor and MassDOT director Thomas McGee calls the project exciting, as it promises safer, more seamless bike and pedestrian access toward Lynn over the next few years.
