Hundreds of area cyclists will return to Lynnfield early this Sunday morning for the 9th annual Reid’s Ride.
The event is held in memory of former Lynnfield resident Reid Sacco, who died of cancer in 2005 at the age of 20. Over the years, riders have made possible the Reid R. Sacco Adolescent & Young Adult Clinic for Cancer and Blood Diseases at Tufts Medical Center, which was dedicated last year.
Cyclists can register before 7 a.m. at the Lynnfield High School parking lot. There is also a link for pre-registration and for donations here.
The 28-mile ride runs down Essex Street and Main Street in Lynnfield across 114 in Middleton toward downtown Danvers, downtown Beverly and up the coast through Manchester and the Magnolia section of Gloucester. The ride ends at Stagefort Park with a barbecue for the riders and other participants.
