Arrangements Announced for Al Merritt

A wake for former Lynnfield Selectman Al Merritt is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dello Russo Funeral Home at 306 Main Street in Medford, according to an email from town hall.

, several months after he left the board of selecmen to focus on a battle against cancer.

On Wednesday, March 27th, the funeral is held at the funeral home at 10 a.m., with an 11 a.m. funeral mass at St. Maria Goretti. Interment is at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Lynnfield.

An obituary was expected to be posted later Friday evening.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the St. Maria Goretti Sanctuary Fund, 112 Chestnut Street, Lynnfield MA 01940.
