Back Down To Earth

Sometimes a team needs a reminder that they have to work hard every game in order to keep up with the top teams. Today was one of those games. Captain, Cam Sullivan attempted to get the Stars going with a quote from Herb Brooks, "This sport is not for the biggest, strongest, or most talented; it is for the most committed, hardest working little guy who at times is the only one believing that what shouldn't happen, will happen." The Stars did come out strong against Wakefield but started to forget some of the little things that have made them successful. There were flashes of hustle and effort but sustaining it seemed difficult for them today. Anthony Grabau showed some of the flash with a great move, breaking through the pack to fire one home. Anthony would earn the game puck today for his extra spark shown. Timmy Sullivan, playing his first game in net ever, did everything he could to keep his Stars team in the game. The passes and positioning by Wakefield caught his team off guard. The Stars are a tight group of players and will motivate each other to battle through a game like today. They did all have fun though and will bounce right back, work harder at practice and return to their hustling ways that have been their signature.
