Back On Track

After shoveling out their parents' driveways the Stars showed up at Kasabuski all warmed up and ready to go. Captain Brendan Heffron, #4, got the ball rolling with a quote from another #4, Bobby Orr..."There are no environments where you're only going to win because life just isn't like that". This one was fitting for a Stars team coming off a tough game from last week. They got back to their hustling ways for the beginning of this game though. Jimmy Driscoll, Dion Sacca, Jack Glowacz and Anthony Grabau came out fired up and went up and down the ice hard. Jack would find the back of the net with some gritty work down low. Jonathan and Joseph Soares both played an excellent two way game. Jonathan made some amazing defensive plays and Joseph would find himself on several breakaways. The Cape Ann goalie kept her team in this one though. Stevie Migliero had a superb game in the corners, digging hard to free up the puck for his linemates. Stevie continues to get the job done on both offense and defense. Cam Sullivan relishes defense and plays it well but had several nice rushes today, only to be stopped by a quick glove hand on the opposing goalie. Brendan Heffron was throwing the body around today like an NHL ready forward, digging the puck free for his favorite linemate Timmy Sullivan. Timmy would use his patented spinorama and pop in three top shelf goals to wear the hat today. A fourth one almost went home but hit the cross bar. Timmy earned the game puck for a great effort today. Abigail Travers suited up in net and stoned the Cape Ann team. She saved everything that she could reach and did an excellent all around job as the Stars' goalie. Rumor has it that Mike Murphy and James Glowacz were tackled by a snowman that came to life prior to the game. They were missed but their team played well for them! A nice job today for the Stars. They should be proud of the way they bounced back from last game and will continue to play like a team on a mission!
