Empty Bowl Dinner Fights Hunger in Lynnfield, Peabody, and Salem
A community-wide fundraiser for Haven from Hunger

Haven from Hunger will hold an Empty Bowl Dinner on Thursday, May 4, at Veterans Memorial High School, 485 Lowell Street, in Peabody. Stop by between 4 and 7 p.m. to select a hand-painted bowl, enjoy a simple meal of soup and bread, and take the bowl home as a reminder of the fight against hunger in Peabody, Salem, and Lynnfield. Empty Bowl events are held nationwide to raise funds for local hunger-relief organizations.
More than 500 bowls have been hand-painted with care by community members over the last several months. A number of bowls painted by local dignitaries will be featured in a silent auction. Soups are being donated by local restaurants, including Mike and Lill's Black Sheep Pub & Grill, British Beer Company, Brodie's Pub, Brothers Restaurant & Deli (Peabody), Burton's Grill of Peabody, California Pizza Kitchen, Century House Restaurant, Not Your Average Joe's, Opus, and Spinelli's, and by students in Peabody High School's culinary program.
Tickets are available at the door and online at Eventbrite for a suggested donation of $15 ($10 for children under 10).
