The Lynnfield Art Guild is pleased to begin a new season with its monthly artist demonstrations open to the public with well known acrylic artist Maris Platais of Carlisle on Thursday September 20th at 7:00 PM at the Lynnfield Senior Center, 525 Salem Street, Lynnfield. Platais is well known both here and abroad for his exquisite acrylics on canvas, pen & inks and limited edition etchings of New England landscapes and boats. Many of his fine works depict Kennebec, Maine and the magnificent trees that surround his studio. He paints in every season on location, but the blazing colors of his autumn scenes are special treasures.
Admission is free for members whose annual dues of $20 defray the cost of demonstrators; there is a suggested donation of $5 for non-members. Doors will open at 6:45 PM and in recognition of several board members stepping down after many years of service, cake & ice cream will be served during intermission.
