The Stars came out strong after a great speech from Dion Sacca, "Push yourself again and again. Don't give an inch until the final buzzer sounds". Larry Bird could not have said it better. The entire team hustled today and other than a few bounces that didn't go the Stars' way they matched up well against Danvers. The goals that the Stars scored were the result of team effort. Some grinding work down low popped the puck free in front of the Danvers net. Anthony Grabau would find it and send it home. The next goal was also a collaborative effort. Cam Sullivan rushed the puck up the boards, flipped it up to Joseph Soares who took it in and fired it on net. The goalie gave up a juicy rebound for Jonathan Soares who put it behind a stunned Danvers goaltender. Cam earned the game puck today for an excellent overall performance on defense while getting the play moving on offense. Jimmy Driscoll was in the Stars' net. Everything he could get his hands and body on was stopped. Danvers earned their goals today. Nothing came easy for them. Four games left in the regular season and the Stars are starting to gel in their natural positions. Should be an interesting run into the playoffs!
