Right at Home Boston and North hosted an educational screening of “Feel Grand with Jane Seymour” to the residents at Shore Village in Lynn, MA on March 29 (Wednesday), 2017.

“Feel Grand with Jane Seymour” is a 13-episode health series is hosted by Jane Seymour. Each episode features top doctors from across the country, discussing a wide range of health-related topics and information from the latest research. Viewers can learn savvy ways to remain healthy and feel good as they age.

Emotions of Aging

As a part of Right at Home Boston and North’s interactive coffee talk presentations, we host educational discussions once per month at the independent retirement community, Shore Village, in Lynn, MA. This month, we chose to screen “Emotions of Aging” from the “Feel Grand” series presented by our Community Relations Coordinator, Victoria Guskiewicz.

In this episode, Dr. Blumenthal, M.D., M.P.A., former United States Assistant Surgeon General reviews ways for individuals to make the most out of aging and how to make meaning out of this stage of life in positive ways.

Residents discussed their own difficulties with adjusting to getting older in the discussion following the screening. Many shared their memories and said that they have accepted and are embracing this new chapter of their lives. Exercising, staying in touch with family and friends, eating healthier, and engaging in fun social activities are some of their common goals.
