Firm Selected For High School Expansion Project
Winning bid allows project to stay $50,000 under construction budget at this point.

Lynnfield's School Building Subcommitee met Thursday night to approve its selection of E. A. Colangeli Construction Company to build the LHS expansion project.
The company submitted a winning bid of $3,110,346, and two alternate companies - B.C. Construction Company, Inc., and G & R Construction, Inc., have also been named.
At this early point, no date has been officially set for a formal start of construction. Instead, work is likely to slow ramp up in the coming weeks from preliminary site work to actual construction. In part because of the relatively small size of the project, a short discussion among subcommitee members find that there is little inclination to hold a formal groundbreaking event.

Work is expected to continue into the next school year with a goal of finishing completely by next spring. The two-story addition will add new classroom and science lab space.
