First Reconciliation Retreats At Both OLA and SMG Churches

St. Maria Goretti and Our Lady of Assumption churches on Saturday held First Reconciliation retreats for their Grade 2 Faith Formation students.

In preparation for the first time these students receive the sacrament, which is also referred to as Confession or Penance, the children learned how to examine their conscience, how to ask for God's forgiveness for their sins, and what it means to be absolved of these sins and reconciled with the community of the Church. The students were even able to have "practice" Confessions to lessen any anxiety about receiving this beautiful gift from God.
