Friends of the Lynnfield Library thanks Book Sale Supporters

To the Editor:

The Annual Used Book Sale on October 19, 2013 sponsored by the Friends of the Lynnfield Library, was very successful!  On behalf of the Friends' Executive Board, I would like to express our deep gratitude to all those who contributed their time and efforts over several weeks and months to make it a success:

- Friends Book Sale Committee, led by Chairperson Linda Burns, for organizing the sale and all the volunteers for donating their time;

- Nancy Ryan, Library Director, for her sure guidance, unflagging energy and enthusiasm for this major Friends' event;

- Alexis Gilbode, Logistics Coordinator, for coordinating the book pickup service;

- Sue Durkee, Janet Everson and Lisa Daly for many hours of sorting the books;

-the Library staff for the willing help they provided to the volunteers--a large part of the success.  Lynnfield is truly fortunate in its Director and Library staff!

-Library Board of Trustees for their support and interest in all Friends' activities.

- Most of all, our sincere thanks to all who donated books for the sale and purchased books and other materials at the event, and those who joined or renewed their Friends membership at the sale.  Your generosity enables the Friends to purchase rental DVDs and videos, Museum Passes, audio and eBooks, children's room furniture and wall murals and much more.
