Hungry? Good, Because It's Time For Local Eats Week

Discounts and specials for diners and shoppers

On your mark, get set, eat. And don’t forget to shop too.

Thanks to the local Chambers of Commerce in Melrose, Stoneham, Wakefield, and Lynnfield, there’s a new event to support area restaurants, Local Eats Week. This foodie event will take place from March 2-12.

Participating restaurants will be offering discounts and special meals. Have you ever tried Lobster Fra Diavalo? Head to Felicia’s of the North End in Stoneham for Lobstermania. How about Snow Mountain Maki? Then head to Sakura Organic on Main Street in Wakefield for a half-price offer. And if pizza is your thing, try out California Pizza Kitchen at Lynnfield’s MarketStreet. And a three-course dinner for $10? You can get that at Jitters in Melrose. Whatever place you chose, and there are many, many more, make sure and mention Local Eats Week.

It doesn’t stop with the restaurants. Local Eats Week will also encourage non-food local businesses to help drive dining traffic by offering a promotion in conjunction with dining at your restaurants. For example, businesses may offer special discounts on merchandise, classes, etc.

Get all your knives sharpened (and other bladed tools) during Local Eats Week at DA Bucci & Sons Cutlery Service in Stoneham. Mention Local Eats Week and get 10% off any service or products of $25 or more.

Gone to the Dogs in Wakefield is celebrating Local Eats Week too. Dogs eat, just like people, so why not pick up a special treat for your best friend. Bring in a receipt from a local eatery and dated during Local Eats Week and take $2 off all regular priced package treats.

It doesn’t stop there. Roman Music Therapy Services on North Ave in Wakefield is offering $10 off Sprouting Melodies enrollment. We’re not sure what that is but if it’s $10 off it might be the time to find out.

Before you head out this the next two weeks, make sure and do yourself a favor and check all the bargains in Melrose, Stoneham, Wakefield, and Lynnfield at Facebook.com/LocalEatsWeek.
