ICYMI: Lynnfield Secures $400k Grant for Road and Bridge Projects

Lynnfield will receive the grants under the state's Chapter 90 program.

LYNNFIELD, MA—Lynnfield has been awarded new funds to give their roads a makeover.

According to a statement released by House Minority Leader Bradley Jones, Lynnfield will receive $423,192 in funding under the state's Chapter 90 program. The funds can be used on a variety of municipal roadway projects.

“The Chapter 90 program provides critical funding assistance to help communities address their public infrastructure repair and maintenance needs,” said Jones. “I’m proud to support this funding authorization, which will enable the town of Lynnfield to carry out many important transportation initiatives that will benefit local residents.”

The funding is part of a $200 million bond authorization approved by the House of Representatives Wednesday. According to the statement, that bill now heads to the Senate.
